re Christians as sinners

FIRST:/   The only two verses in scripture that states and/or infers and/or contemplates that Christians are sinners are.....

1 Kings 8:46;  If they sin against thee, (for there is no man that sinneth not,) and thou be angry with them, and deliver them to the enemy, so that they carry them away captives unto the land of the enemy, far or near;

Ecclesiastes 7:20;  For there is not a just man upon earth, that doeth good, and sinneth not.

and,

ONE:/   These have to be and must be understood in the larger
context of the whole (big picture ~ e.g. the sum of the foregoing
treatise regarding ~ BASICS 2, explanations) and thus so tempered
and resolved.
and,
TWO:/   These have to be and must be understood according to known
and common and/or given differentiations ~ e.g.

body/spirit distinctions to be made and/or observed;

outer man/inner man distinctions to be made and/or observed;

before/after distinctions to be made and/or observed;

carnal/spiritual distinctions to be made and/or observed;

ultimate senses -vs- fundamental senses and/or distinctions to be
made and/or observed;
e.g.
there are ~ body/spirit distinctions to be made and/or observed with regard to 1 Kings 8:46; Ecclesiastes 7:20;
i.e.
both 1 Kings 8:46; Ecclesiastes 7:20; refers to the outward man, body, creature, flesh, natural man and/or being. and,

Do not apply to, refere to nor mean to infer reference to and/or with the "spirit". (as, the sum of the foregoing treatise regarding ~ BASICS 2, explanations, reflects and explains).

THUS,
outer man/inner man distinctions to be made and/or observed;
A./  sin is a condition, fact and phenomena of the outer man,
body, creature, flesh, human being (whether natural and/carnal):
and,
B./  is not a condition, fact and phenomena of the inner man: i.e.
the "spirit" does not sin.
C./  it is the "soul" that sinneth....
whether in ignorance and/or not.......
Numbers 15:28; And the priest shall make an atonement for the soul that sinneth ignorantly, when he sinneth by ignorance before the Lord, to make an atonement for him; and it shall be forgiven him.
Ezekiel 18:20; The soul that sinneth, it shall die.

1./  the soul and the spirit are not one and the same, as Hebrews 4:12; makes plain.
Hebrews 4:12;  For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

 hence,

2./   when these verses Romans 7:17, 20;  say "not [ I ]" and, when 1 Peter 3:4; says ~ "But let it be the hidden man of the heart, in that which is not corruptible,...."

it is understood that these verses are referring to the "spirit" and not to "the soul" for "the soul" is corruptible i.e. can sin; whereas the [ "I" i.e. spirit Romans 7:17, 20;] does not sin.
THUS,
spirit/soul distinctions to be made and/or observed.

THREE:/   Therefore, there many things to be observed and considered.
