The good news is.......not only do we bear the the image of fallen Adam (and, it's sin), more importantly (and of paramount more greatly significant importance) is that ~ we also bear the image of our Creator (The LORD God Elohim !).
Humankind (human being) is a manifold being: comprised of manifold dynamics ! Among which are as follows….
FIRST:/ Ecclesiastes 7:29 - Lo, this only have I found, that God hath made man upright; but they have sought out many inventions. i.e.
ONE:/ 1st Adam (before the fall) was "upright"
A./ Eve (being in the transgression) sought out "the tree of the knowledge of good and evil".
And, thereby fell. And,
B./ She gave to Adam, who also partook and fell.
C./ In this fallen state, they began to "seek out" "inventions" e.g. hiding, secrecy, complicity, security, surety, covering, etcc... which, (before the fall) was not so = they were "upright" i.e. in a state of (up)righteousness.
TWO:/ In this state of being "upright" (in a state of (up)righteousness) they were 1st created: The LORD God Elohim created them so.........with one exception ~ Rom. 8:20.
A./ Our very first parents (Adam and Eve) were 1st created "in the image and likeness of Elohim".
1./ "God is a Spirit" John 4:24; however, we find that Adam and Eve were made of the dust of the earth Gen. 2:7. Thus a dichotomy is reached, observed and established.
a./ It is here that I would like to begin.
SECOND:/ OUR dual origins ~
ONE:/ "created in the image and likeness of God". "upright" ! (up)righteousness) like God.
The thing to be aware of(not to be missed!) is that,......
A./ Just as with our "natural parents" we bear their genome ! So also,
with our supernatural parent. i.e.
B./ Our genome contains and is comprised of both ! cf. NOTE r/f below
C./ We are both godly; and, we are "dirt" !
D./ Which, therefore, do you want to be ? of God; -or- of this world ? The choice is ours to make !
Philippians 2:5-9;
5 Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:
6 Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God:
7 But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men:
8 And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.
9 Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name:
TWO:/ Such is the "dual" "dueling" origins of our makeup ! These,--------------------------------->
comprise and constitute the basic two origins of our human being.

B./ As expanded, it's not hard to see the many verses referencing "the divine" side of our constitution ! Which side of ourselves we can access and become ! Philemon 1:6. e.g.
Luke 6:40; The disciple is not above his master: but every one that is perfect shall be as his master.

Romans 8:29; For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.

Now, I'm not suggesting that, God ( the stuff that God is made up of ) is made of atoms ( as all of creation, as we know it, is ): we do not know that God is made up that way also.. What we do know is, that, atoms explain everything from God's eternal power and Godhead throughout the remainder of creation as we know it. Ro. 1:20; Heb. 11:3; Even science knows this and has proven it. Therefore,
I am suggesting that, the atoms that we are made up of contain the noumenal/phenomenal components/substances which constitutes i./ God in us ii./ Christ in us; and, iii./ The Spirit in us ! iv./ which substances are atomically and subatomically oriented & effectual ( expressive ) - itself, it's own language [ WORD ] . and, v./ that our DNA carries this same " stuff " *./ of our parents and forefathers of a human kind; and, likewise, **./ of our Creator - thus, both human and Divine Nature. Psalm 82:6 I have said, Ye are gods; cp. John 10:34 .
Which, therefore, do you want to be ? of God; -or- of this world ? The choice is ours to make !
